Projects at UPL
PDC at the Faculty of Medicine
In 2016, UPL is collaborating with the Faculty of Medicine as part of a major educational initiative on the theme of Pedagogical Digital Competence.
Together with the IT Office, the Centre for Educational Development (UPL) has been assigned the task of reinvesting in Moodle to ensure that the platform is a comparable alternative to Cambro.
UPL has started a pilot project to evaluate a service for web-based teaching portfolios. The purpose of the project is to evaluate both a pedagogical model and a technical solution for a functioning web-based teaching portfolio at Umu.
From 2008 to 2011 the Flex project at Umeå University funded a number of development projects with a focus on online/flexible courses. In order to continue to promote pedagogical development at Umeå University the University Board decided to perpetuate these funds and to include all forms of course delivery.
UmU Play (finished)
Together with the IT Office, the Centre for Educational Development (UPL) has conducted a pilot project with the aim of evaluating a service that can provide support in creating, transcoding, playing and storing media, primarily videos. The project recommends that Umeå University signs up for the service.
